Sesame Jaggery balls is an ideal winter dish, it is a traditional Indian recipe which is made and eaten particularly during the cold weather so that the body stays warm. A healthy and easy recipe, it is. A friend passed us a ladoo couple of months back, with jaggery, and had sesame in it.

To get started with this recipe, we must first prepare a few ingredients. You can cook sesame-jaggery using 3 ingredients and 7 steps. Here is how you cook it.

The ingredients needed to make Sesame-Jaggery:
  1. Get 200 g Sesame
  2. Get 150 g Jaggery
  3. Prepare 1 tsp Desi Ghee

Jaggery is a traditional non-centrifuged cane sugar consumed in Asia. It is a concentrated product of cane juice and often date or palm sap without separation of the molasses and crystals. This is a dish made to mark Sankarnt. It is very simple dish and needs least preparation but lot of practise for good results.

Steps to make Sesame-Jaggery:
  1. Take a non stick pan
  2. Add desi ghee and heat it on medium flame
  3. Add jaggery and stir in on low flame till in golden brown
  4. Do not add baking soda or any kind of artificial ingredients
  5. Add sesame and stir it continuously till all sesame coated in jaggery
  6. Let it some cool
  7. You can make ladoo or eat as til-gud panjiri

Made with sesame seeds and jaggery it tastes yummy. It is made with jaggery and sesame seeds. Jaggery as you all know is rich in iron. So here is a wonderful way in which you can enjoy the health benefits of both sesame seeds and jaggery. Now to the ground yellu(sesame seeds) powder, add the grated jaggery and cardamom and mix well.
