  2. Use a large heart shaped cookie cutter to cut two puff pastry to make an equal number of hearts. These will become the top and bottom. Poke holes into the bottom layer using a fork.
  3. Using the smaller heart shaped cookie cutter, to cut out the center of the top puff pastry (like in the photo - the hollowed ones will be on top).
  4. Brush on a beaten egg (for glossing) to glue and layer the two pie sheets together. Brush the egg on the top layer as well.
  5. Bake in an oven for 20 minutes at 180°C. Make sure to keep an eye on them (adjust the baking time to your oven). Bake the smaller cut-out hearts at the same time.
  6. Melt chocolate in a bowl over a hot water bath, and pour that into the heart shaped hole to finish.

Or drizzle I love you in chocolate syrup. This heart-shaped Chocolate chiffon cake is filled with chocolate whipped cream and then covered with a layer of shiny chocolate ganache.
